Traveling increases our happiness more than buying stuff

A Cornell University study has found that the amount of happiness we derive from purchases falls over time, whereas the memories of our traveling experience continue to supply us with happiness hormones for much longer. Travelers know this intuitively, but it’s nice to know science backs it up. 🙂
